Wonder Woman's first appearance was in December 1941 from the pages of All Star Comics. This is my take on the princess Diana if she were introduced forty or so years earlier at the turn of the 20th century. I attempted a touch of Art Nouveau styling, a popular movement at that time, to give it more of a retro look.

Oh nice.

I really like what you did here.  A good take on Wonder Woman.

WOW! This is beautiful! I can't believe this hasn't gotten more attention. Great work!! I love how you depicted Diana. Have you had a chance to see the Wonder Woman movie that just came out yet? It's awesome. :)

Thank you! Yes, I did see the movie. You're right -- it is awesome. It got me in the right mind-frame for working on the two Wonder Woman pics.

Thanks for the +fav too!

This is gorgeous. Reminds me very much of old cigar box labels, or marquee posters. The face and hair are perhaps of more "modern" look, but they are refreshingly different from how Dianna is usually portrayed. (Actually, she looks just slightly like Marion Ravenwood, I think!) Makes it an interesting character that you'd like to see more of. Which fits in well with some of the handsome but enigmatic women in those period advertisements!
