Wanted Farscapeby ~ratscape

In September 2002, and after 4 seasons on the Sci Fi Channel, Farscape was cancelled. Fans of the show immediately started a grassroots campaign to bring it back (and it ultimately did in the form of a 4 hour miniseries). The "Wanted" posters were used by the fans for brochures, buttons, postcards, stickers, tshirts, etc, ...and posters. In a way, they became the unofficial identity of the campaign.

Each "Wanted" poster uses a stylized image of a character from Farscape. I limited the colors of each piece and gave them a posterized look not only for easier reproduction but to give it a more grassroots/from-the-street feel -- less slick corporate. By the time I was finished, 101 posters were completed. This artwork (above) is the combination of 9 of the very first ones created.

I love sci-fi. I only recently found Farscape (through Stargate SG-1), but it's already one of my favorites. I love these posters!

I've just started watching this series, and was wondering how much more I had to enjoy now that I'm at nearly the end of season 1. Only 4 seasons huh? How sad...
